COVID Update 6th January

Like many of our friends in the industry, we have recently been operating with reduced staff. The current situation in NSW is making it difficult to keep everyone safe. Due to staff members being exposed to COVID 19 Allambie Vet throughout the holiday period, our opening hours and appointment availability may need to be changed at short notice.

In order to minimise the risk to the remainder of our staff and the community, please take note of the following changes.

Arriving at Allambie Vet for your appointment

  • Only ONE owner to accompany your pet to the appointment.
  • Please wear a mask and social distance.
  • Please call reception once you have arrived in the car park. Wait in the car, the park or on the bench outside until the vet is available.
  • Use the Hand sanitiser provided outside the reception door.
  • You are required to scan the QR code and sign in.

Your Consultation

The treating vet will discuss any health concerns while social distancing or over the phone. We will then take your pet into the hospital for a physical examination while a nurse holds. The vet will then discuss the appropriate treatment plan with you, once again while social distancing or over the phone while you wait outside the hospital.

Repeat medications and prescription diets must be per-ordered. Once medications are ready, our receptionist will call you for payment. Medications and food will be placed outside under cover for collection.

You must remain at home in accordance with the government self-isolation rules if you:

  • are waiting on a COVID19 test result
  • have tested positive for COVID19
  • have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive with COVID19.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during these times.
