Covid update 17 | 02 | 2022

We are very excited to let you know that we will be welcoming clients back into the consulting rooms for face-to-face consulting.

We have implemented a number of protocols to ensure we continue to provide our high standard of care.

Arriving at Allambie Vet for your appointment

Our reception area will open for clients.

  • Masks must be worn all times and please social distance.
  • Use the hand sanitiser provided outside the reception door.
  • Scan the QR code and sign is recommended.

Your Consultation

We have two options for consultations:

If you would like face-to-face consultation in the consulting room then;

  • Only one fully vaccinated client per patient only may enter the hospital.

Or

  • We will still offer consultations outside of the hospital for those who would prefer;
  • two or more family members attending including children,
  • not to disclose your vaccination decision or
  • if you are concerned about your exposure risk.

The treating vet will discuss any health concerns while social distancing or over the phone. We will then take your pet into the hospital for a physical examination while a nurse holds. The vet will then discuss the appropriate treatment plan with you, once again while social distancing or over the phone while you wait outside the hospital.

You must remain at home in accordance with the government self-isolation rules if you:

  • are waiting on a COVID19 test result
  • have tested positive for COVID19
  • have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive with COVID19.

We would like to thank our clients for your patience and compassion during these difficult times.
